Summary: Road Warriors started off with a close game in game 1. In game 2 they dominated on the defensive side and took over the game easily. In game 3 Sunday, without Don Bearden (who left on Saturday night for a prior commitment, they played with only 5 men. Unfortunately, before the start of the game, Dave Sutherland broke his chair, forcing the team to play 4-on-5 most of the game.

Summary: The Road Warriors finished a successful weekend by winning all 4 games they played. The team started out slow against University of Arizona but won the game by 6. Warriors then played with passion and energy to win handily again the Southern California teams: Lakers, Rancho, and Clippers.

Summary: The Road Warriors went 2-2 on a tough weekend. They were without 2 starters, Mickey Kay and Pete Sanchez but still had a chance to win all 4 games, but let the 2 games slip away. The Road Warriors still played hard and look forward to redeeming themselves in Phoenix in 2 weeks.


Phoenix, Az, Jan. 30-31st Results

Summary: The Road Warriors went 3-1 to capture the 3rd place finish. The team went without 2 starters again, Mickey Kay and Pete Sanchez. The Road Warriors had a chance to advance to the championship game on Sunday but lost a close one to the Lakers in overtime. The Road Warriors had a chance to take the lead with 7 seconds to go in regulation but missed the shot. The Lakers also had a chance to win the game in regulation but missed the shot also. In OT, the Lakers outscored the Warriors by 8 to advance to the championship game. The Warriors beat the Suns again on Sunday to take the 3rd place finish.

Summary: The Road Warriors went 5-0 to capture the championship in Long Beach. The Road Warriors avenged the loss to LA Lakers in Phoenix this time and went on to the championship game to beat the U. of Arizona team to capture the championship in the tournament.


Denver, Co, April 7-11th, 2010 Results

Summary: The Road Warriors took 6th place at the Nationals in Colorado this year. The year ended on a disappointing note knowing fully that the National Championship was the main goal this year. After beating Rancho in the round of 16, the Road Warriors lost to U. of A. in a tough loss. The Road Warriors beat the Lakers in the next game and lost to Arkansas for the 5th place game. One bright note was Chuck Gill making the All-Tournament team.
