Bio
Hermes Castro is a T-11/T-12 paraplegic who likes to cross train, lift weights, hand cycle, play basketball, surf, kayak, and ski. He started playing wheelchair basketball in 2008 with San Diego Hammers after recovering from an accident in 2006. After competing with the Hammers, he got a chance to play with Mexico’s National Team in 2013, and has continued to play with them in subsequent tournaments including Korea (2014). Hermes moved to the Bay Area to pursue his studies in Sports Psychology, and was grateful to start playing with the Road Warriors in 2013.
“Herm” loves playing basketball and his new exciting adventures in the Bay Area.
